Moscow is planning to boost the strategic positions of its navy in the Black Sea in response to NATO’s “inadmissible” expansion towards Russian borders.According to a newly-revised version of the Russian Navy’s doctrine published Sunday on the country’s official navy website, “strategic Russian positions” near the Crimean peninsula in the Black Sea will receive reinforcements and infrastructure improvements. The updated doctrine states that Russia also aims at “guaranteeing an adequate military naval presence” in the Atlantic, as well as the Mediterranean, in a “permanent manner.”
While the Western mainstream media and even independent gatekeepers like Noam Chomsky for years spread the lie that any suggestion that the United States and NATO were supporting ISIS was a “conspiracy theory,”recently uncovered and declassified documents from the Defense Intelligence Agency have proven the Western press and the likes of Chomsky wrong and, yet again, the so-called “conspiracy theorists” right.
This is because, on May 18, Judicial Watch published a selection of recently declassified documents that were obtained from the US Department of Defense and the US State Department as a result of a lawsuit filed against the US government. The lawsuit and most of the documents contained within the release revolved around the Benghazi scandal but a deeper look into the documents dating back to 2012 reveal an even bigger story – that the US and NATO have admitted in their own documents to supporting al-Qaeda and ISIS in Syria and Iraq.
The White House reported the event as an “energy round-table” discussion of “a cleaner and more sustainable energy future in the Caribbean through improved energy governance, greater access to finance and donor coordination.” While there is no mention of Venezuela, the Atlantic Council, a sponsor of the event, explicitly mentions Venezuela as the reason for the meeting.
The Atlantic Council is a think-tank funded by different international companies like Shell Oil and governmental organization like the North Atlantic Trade Organization (NATO). In addition, some of its board members and directors include former U.S. officials and current leaders of major firms. It primarily works in securing the interests of NATO.
Russia’s Moskva missile cruiser, dubbed a “carrier-killer” by NATO, has passed through the Straits of Gibraltar and is now heading toward the eastern Mediterranean to assume command of the Russian naval force there.
The Russian Navy said in a statement that the Moskva cruiser passed through the Straits of Gibraltar on September 10.
Interfax news agency added that the Moskva cruiser, “commanded by Sergey Tronev, Captain 1st Rank of the Guards… has enough room for maneuver now.”
“The Black Sea flagship entered the Russian Navy’s area of responsibility in the Mediterranean at 11:00 pm Moscow time yesterday,” the agency reported a military source as saying.
The missile-carrying cruiser is expected to join its final destination in eastern Mediterranean on September 15 or 16.
