WW3 Alert: Gwenyth Todd and the U.S. Attempt to Start War With Iran Under Bush – The Washington Post
Gwenyth Todd had worked in a lot of places in Washington where powerful men didn’t hesitate to use sharp elbows. She had been a Middle East expert for the National Security Council in the Clinton administration. She had worked in the office of Defense Secretary Dick Cheney in the first Bush administration, where neoconservative hawks first began planning to overthrow Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. But she was not prepared a few years later in Bahrain when she encountered plans by high-ranking admirals to confront Iran, any one of which, she reckoned, could set the region on fire.
It was 2007, and Todd, then 42, was a top political adviser to the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet. Previous 5th Fleet commanders had resisted various ploys by Bush administration hawks to threaten the Tehran regime. But in spring 2007, a new commander arrived with an ambitious program to show the Iranians who was boss in the Persian Gulf.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has condemned a recent deadly terrorist attack against Shia worshippers in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. All measures should be taken to prevent such incidents and combat those who have targeted the security and stability of the region by provoking religious strife, said Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham on Friday.
Cruel, unjustifiable act
Amnesty International also denounced the act of terror as cruel and unjustifiable.“Members of Saudi Arabia’s Shia Muslim community have been subjected to cruel attacks during Friday prayers for the second week in a row. There can be absolutely no justification for attacking worshippers in a mosque,” said Deputy Director at Amnesty International’s Middle East and North Africa Program Said Boumedouha.
AUSTIN (AP) — Texas lawmakers and top business leaders vowed Tuesday to kill two proposed constitutional amendments they say will promote anti-gay discrimination and could lead to backlash similar to recent reactions in Indiana and Arkansas.
Opponents say the proposals, sponsored by Republicans Rep. Matt Krause and Sen. Donna Campbell, would morph the business-friendly Lone Star State into a costly state for corporations and negatively affect tourism.
Texas’ Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1999 allows a Texas resident to sue state and local governments if he or she feels that a government entity is burdening their religious beliefs or practices.
Washington’s Agenda: The Destabilization and Destruction of Syria. “Islamic State” Terrorists Deployed by the CIA | Counter Information
The military forces of the Bashar al-Assad government have collapsed on two fronts. The capital of Idlib province in northwest Syria has been lost to Islamic State terrorists sanctioned by the United States, Israel and their Persian Gulf allies and mobilized by the CIA.
Government forces in the south have also lost the border crossing at Nasib, the only functioning crossing with Jordan—the key southern import/export route. The surrender of this border to Al-Nusra Front Al-Qaeda terrorist “rebels”—CIA/Washington proxies—further threatens a Syrian economy already devastated by years of warfare, relentless US-led terrorism of every variety, and endless NATO economic and political terror.
Together, the Al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State—aka Washington and the CIA—now control roughly half of Syria.
As Al-Qaeda terrorists run rampant on the ground from both the north and south, Syria is bombed by American planes from Turkey. US air strikes are now called in by terrorists themselves.
RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) – A florist in eastern Washington state fined $1,000 for refusing to sell a same-sex couple wedding flowers and also facing a consumer-protection lawsuit has netted more than $85,000 in a crowdfunding campaign.
The Seattle Times reports that nearly half of the money on the gofundme.com page set up in February for 70-year-old Barronelle Stutzman came in the last several days.
Supporters compare Stutzman’s benefit page to an Indiana pizza shop that raised more than $800,000 after closing when the owner said the shop wouldn’t cater a gay wedding.
Editor’s Note: On ABC News This Week Sunday news program (March 29, 2015), White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest and Indiana Governor Mike Pence offered opposing views on the Religious Freedom Bill. Gov. Pence went first, reiterating that Bill Clinton signed the exact same legislation into law in 1993. But then Press Secretary Earnest scoffed at the idea of referring to what he considered an outdated law, questioning the Governor’s wisdom for going back over 20 years to justify a law today when the times have changed. This line of thinking is exactly what’s wrong with this country, suggesting that somehow there is an expiration date on laws and freedoms. The same line of thinking is used to make God irrelevant, suggesting that God and Jesus are not in step with the times. Well who exactly is determining what the “times” are that make everything else irrelevant? Answer: Mystery Babylon the Great!
Here are some links to the actual Indiana law in question:
In the United States, “Ferguson” — the name of the town where unarmed black teenager Michael Brown was shot to death by police last summer — has become a shorthand name for the free reign given to police officers to murder black people in the streets #and parks, stores, even their own homes# with impunity. At the same time as Brown was murdered, the world watched as Israel was given free reign to murder Palestinian people in the streets of the Gaza Strip #and beaches, cafes, hospitals, even their own homes# with impunity.
