PressTV – Most of Americans stay at home on election day: Gordon Duff
A political commentator in Ohio says most Americans stay at home on election day because they are told again and again that both political parties are the same.
“This election involved only about 40 percent, maybe even less, of the Americans capable of voting — only about half Americans that can vote bother to vote in most elections anyway — this was much lower still,” said Gordon Duff, a senior editor at Veterans Today.
The Republican Party has not only captured a majority in the Senate in the November 4 vote, but it has also achieved a historic victory in the House of Representatives, putting Obama’s rivals in charge of both chambers of Congress during his last two crucial years in office.
“Nothing that happened in this election indicated any change in the American people, it only indicated that we had an election here that was extremely corrupt,” Duff told press TV in an interview on Tuesday.
