RAMALLAH, November 2, 2013 (WAFA) – The Israeli air strike on Gaza that left three Palestinians dead and an earlier exchange of gunfire between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers on the Gaza border that left one Palestinian dead and five Israeli soldiers injured was the focus of the Saturday issue of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies.

The papers highlighted the fact that four Palestinians fell on Friday from Israeli gunfire and printed pictures from the funeral of the victims.

The papers also printed pictures and stories of the weekly anti-settlements and anti-wall protests that rage in various areas of the West Bank every Friday. The Israeli army usually cracks down on these protests by firing tear gas and rubber bullets in their directions.

The three papers also highlighted a story about an Israeli law that calls for dividing al-Aqsa Mosque, a Muslim holy place in Jerusalem, in a way to allow also Jews to pray inside its yards. The law will be discussed by the Israeli parliament’s interior committee on Sunday.
