Warning: The Decline of Independent Farmers Spells Slavery for Free Americans!

The title might sound a bit alarmist. But the slow decline of the independence of the American farmer is ominous for free-thinking Americans. When you think about it, the group who controls the agriculture of a nation controls that nation, just like any group that controls the money of a nation controls that nation. The independent American farmer, like the fiercely independent Ukrainian farmer of the 1930s, has been targeted for obsolescence since the Industrial Revolution began. But technological obsolescence is not the only reason.

If you’re the kind of person that thinks beyond the dumbed-down mainstream news headlines, then you are probably aware that there is a shadow government in the U.S. pulling America by the noose silently towards a new world order. This shadow has performed ‘divide and conquer’ tactics against every group along racial, economic, and religious lines, with particular attention to dismantling Christians. The best way to control any group is to control its food and water supply as these are the necessaries for living. And these staples of life are controlled by food giants like Monsanto, Dow, Dole Foods, Cargill and a few others.

Historically, we can read how the American farmer was attacked by big banks who seduced or, in some cases, forced rural farmers to take on debt, only to then toy with loan interest rates and other loan terms to drive them into dependence and out of business. Along with that came the futures market that controlled the future pricing of foods so as to force farmers to go along with the system. And today we have Monsanto which wants to dictate how farmers manage their seeds, wanting to force farmers to rely only on Monsanto for seeds (genetically modified seed at that). Farmers who don’t go along get isolated. Congress, the White House and even the Supreme Court encourage the Monsanto monopoly.

We need to return power back to independent farmers and away from the new world order. Vote out of office those officials who continually grant a monopoly over our food supply to these ‘shadow company’ organizations who want control over the basics of living in order to force us, especially Christians and other free thinking Americans, into their system. For those Christians who rely on the Bible, you know that the Harlot, Mystery Babylon the Great, wants to be drunk on the blood of the saints, and she is preparing a large cup now for the American Church. We need to wake up and stay up for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ draws near (and don’t be fooled by Satan’s decoy anti-Christ). Amen.

A note about Glophosate in Monsanto Products

Glyphosate is a broad-spectrum herbicide widely used to kill unwanted plants both in agriculture and in nonagricultural landscapes. Estimated use in the U.S. is between 38 and 48 million pounds per year. Most glyphosate-containing products are either made or used with a surfactant, chemicals that help glyphosate to penetrate plant cells.

Glyphosate-containing products are acutely toxic to animals, including humans. Symptoms include eye and skin irritation, headache, nausea, numbness, elevated blood pressure, and heart palpitations. The surfactant used in a common glyphosate product (Roundup) is more acutely toxic than glyphosate itself the combination of the two is yet more toxic.

Given the marketing of glyphosate herbicides as benign, it is striking that laboratory studies have found adverse effects in all standard categories of laboratory toxicology testing. These include medium-term toxicity (salivary gland lesions), long-term toxicity (inflamed stomach linings), genetic damage (in human blood cells), effects on reproduction (reduced sperm counts in rats; increased frequency of abnormal sperm in rabbits), and carcinogenicity (increased frequency of liver tumors in male rats and thyroid cancer in female rats).

In studies of people (mostly farmers) exposed to glyphosate herbicides, exposure is associated with an increased risk of miscarriages, premature birth, and the cancer non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Glyphosate has been called “extremely persistent” by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and half lives of over 100 days have been measured in field tests in Iowa and New York. Glyphosate has been found in streams following agricultural, urban, and forestry applications.

Glyphosate treatment has reduced populations of beneficial insects, birds, and small mammals by destroying vegetation on which they depend for food and shelter.

In laboratory tests, glyphosate increased plants’ susceptibility to disease and reduced the growth of nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

From comes the following interesting info:

          Monsanto acquires conventional seed companies

Corporate behemoth and GMO titan Monsanto has been gobbling up the seed market faster than a caterpillar can munch a tomato plant! With one fell swoop in 2005, Monsanto grabbed approximately 40% of the US vegetable seed market with its acquisition of Seminis.

Monsanto buys Climate Corporation

Controversial agri-giant Monsanto is dipping its massive hands in a different type of technology. The company, known for its focus on herbicides and genetically modified seeds, recently spent nearly $1 billion to buy Climate Corporation, a climate data research company. The move allows Monsanto to have control over tools that allow farmers to predict local weather so that they can make better farm management decisions.

The last sentence should actually read like this:

The move allows Monsanto to have control over tools that allow the company to predict local weather so that it can enforce control of seeds and make it so that the only choices farmers have who are facing tough weather are their biotech stress resistant seeds.

If you own the seed sources then you can control what seeds are available and what seeds are not. Guess which seeds are more readily available to farmers? Yup, biotech.

Monsanto in government

A report by Food & Water Watch documents the efforts of US ambassadors acting as sales reps for the biotech industry. They “twist the arms of countries” pushing sales of GMO seeds, it says, at US taxpayer expense.

Besides Monsanto, the biggest biotech companies are DuPont, Syngenta, Bayer and Dow Chemical.

The group obtained more than 900 State Department diplomatic cables spanning 100 countries through WikiLeaks, which reveal pro-biotechnology public relations campaigns and outright attempts to influence government policies and laws that ignore “commonsense biotechnology safeguards and rules – including opposing genetically engineered food labeling laws.”
